Salty candies with rocket salad pesto

  • 1 pack of rectangular puff pastry
  • 60g of Insal’Arte Rocket salad
  • 6 layers of dried tomatoes in oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan
  • 2-3 tablespoon of extravirgin olive oil
  • A few leaves of Insal’Arte Basil
  • Flaked almonds
  • Sesame 
  • Salt and pepper


Put all the ingredients mentioned in the list in the glass of the mixer, except for the flakes of almonds and sesame. Add more oil if necessary and blend until a well blended and consistent pesto is obtained. Place the puff pastry on the work surface and roll it out with a rolling pin. Divide it into rectangles and place on each one a spoonful of pesto, dividing it equally between all the rectangles. Sprinkle with some almond slivers and brush the entire perimeter with some milk. Roll up forming a rectangle taking care to wet the junction point with milk. Twist the ends forming a kind of candy and still wet with milk and sprinkle with sesame. Place the candies on the baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake in preheated oven and ventilated at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes until they appear golden.
